As we approach the end of October, we find ourselves in a busy and exciting time of year:
We just made it through HOCO (Homecoming) Spirit Week, held our first ever all-school rally in the OAHS Gym, and have the HOCO Football Game and Band Alumni Event (hosted at SMHS with the game starting at 12:30 PM!) and HOCO Dance tomorrow.
If that wasn't enough, Fall sports are wrapping up with several of our individuals and teams showcasing their hard work and dedication in CIF Playoffs (including Emma Fields being crowned League Champion for Girl's Tennis yesterday!).
To add more, Orcutt Academy Theater Arts has a production upcoming in November and our Robotics team had their first competition this past weekend! It's a great opportunity to celebrate our students and all their achievements and academic accomplishments--especially given today marked the end of progress period 2 (check your students grades in Aeries Parent Portal on Monday).
With this in mind, now is a crucial time for students to stay focused on their studies and make the most of their learning experiences. We encourage everyone to support one another as we navigate this bustling season together. Let's finish strong!
Speaking of finishing strong, we have noticed an increasing number of students arriving late to school, and we want to emphasize the importance of punctuality. Arriving on time not only helps students start their day with a positive mindset but also ensures they don’t miss valuable instruction and important announcements. Being late can disrupt the learning environment for everyone, so we encourage all students to plan their mornings effectively and arrive on time. Let’s work together to foster a culture of responsibility and respect for each other’s time.
