Spartan Code Spotlight: Show Up On Time

This week’s spotlight is all about punctuality. Being on time shows respect—for teachers, for learning, and for each other. Thanks for helping reinforce the importance of timeliness at home.

ASB Updates

This week’s Senior Spotlight is Seth Santana!

Seth has been in FCC for 2 years, and is serving as an LT this year. He ran JV Cross Country for 2 years and is entering his third year on varsity track, competing in shot put and discus.

He’s also been part of Robotics for 2 years, currently serving as the Business Captain. Seth has been a member of the College Cadre all 4 years.

With over 200 hours of community service, a 4.2 GPA, and as a past member of National Honor Society, Seth has made a big impact. He was on the winning team of the 2024 Quizbowl and is also part of the ASB video crew this year.

Congratulations, Seth!!

This week’s Teacher Spotlight is Ms. Julia White!

Ms. White is a first-year teacher at OA. She teaches English 10 Honors, English Support, and English 9.

One of her favorite memories at OA was from her time as a student—when she was a freshman, Mr. Shaw hosted a Hogwarts movie marathon, and it left a lasting impression.

Ms. White attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara, where she was a part of the prestigious Augustinian Scholars program, a distinction held by the top 10% of students.

A fun fact about Ms. White: she studied abroad in Ireland! If she weren’t teaching, she’d be spending her time writing novels.

We’re so glad to have you at Orcutt Academy, Ms. White!
