A Strong Week at OAHS

We had a strong week on campus as our students completed CAASPP and CAST testing. Thank you to our students for their focus and effort, and to our staff for creating a structured and supportive testing environment.

We also appreciate the support from our families in helping us prioritize attendance and readiness throughout the week.

OA Theatre Arts: Xanadu Shines Bright

Last week’s production of Xanadu was a tremendous success and a great showcase of the talent and work of our students.

Thank you to Michael Shaw for directing the production, along with Katie Sullivan (Music Director) and Rosie Quintana (Assistant Music Director, PCPA) for their work with our students. We also appreciate Justin Roslinda (OA/PCPA graduate) for choreography and OCAF for supporting our partnership with PCPA.

A special thank you to Studio OA, under the direction of John Edds, for filming the production and helping capture the experience for our community.

From the stage to behind the scenes, our students represented OAHS exceptionally well. We are proud of everyone involved.

Spartatroniks: A Strong Showing Heading Into State

Our Spartatroniks Robotics Team continues to build momentum following two strong competition performances.

At the Ventura District Event, the team placed 6th in qualifying rounds, advanced to the semifinals, and finished with an 11–6 record, earning the Quality Award for a robot that performed consistently and reliably under pressure.

At the Glendale District Event, Spartatroniks placed 3rd in qualifying rounds, reached the quarterfinals, and posted a 10–5 record, earning the Industrial Design Award for a robot that balanced performance with thoughtful, efficient design.

The team is currently ranked 17th in California for average points scored, 110th worldwide, and 27th in district points. Just as importantly, they supported other teams throughout competition by providing repairs through their mobile machine shop.

We are proud of the way our students continue to compete and represent OAHS. Thank you to Head Coach Louis Lauriello and the entire group of mentors, supporters, and sponsors who make this program possible.

WE LOVE ASB!💙2025-2026

Our ASB students play a major role in shaping the culture and experience at OAHS. From rallies and dances to lunchtime activities, student sections, spirit days, and more, their work is felt across campus every day.

The time, effort, and care they put into these events does not go unnoticed. OAHS is a better place because of their leadership and commitment.

A special thank you to Graham and Sydney Culbara for their leadership and guidance of this group.

We appreciate all that they do for our school community.

Spring Break Ahead

There is no school tomorrow as we head into Spring Break.

We hope all of our students and families take time to rest and recharge. When we return, we will begin the final stretch of the school year.

Have a Great Break!
