Finishing Strong

We are heading into the final stretch of the school year, and there is a noticeable energy on campus as we move into a very busy month of May. There is a lot to look forward to—but also a clear expectation that we finish strong.

Attendance, behavior, and grades matter right now. As we approach end-of-year events—including MORP, Prom, senior nights for athletics, and Grad Nite—participation will continue to be tied to these expectations. We want all students to be able to take part, but it must be earned through consistent effort and responsible choices each day.

This is one of the most exciting times of the year for our students. These milestones matter, and staying eligible now ensures students can fully enjoy everything ahead.

Save the Date – Spartan Showcase

Please take a moment to save the date for our Spartan Showcase on May 6. This is one of our favorite events of the year and highlights the incredible work of our students across programs, classrooms, and extracurriculars.

We hope to see many of our families there as we celebrate our Spartans.
Save the date for the Spartan Showcase on May 6th from 5 PM to 7 PM.

Spartatroniks Headed to Worlds

In case you missed it in last week's Newsletter, our Spartatroniks Robotics Team is headed to the World Championship! This week, they were recently featured in the Santa Maria Times, highlighting the hard work, innovation, and dedication of our students and staff.

We look forward to cheering them on as they represent Orcutt Academy on a global stage next week!

CSF Lifetime Members Announced

At the 64th Annual CSF Honor Student Recognition Dinner held on April 15, five Orcutt Academy seniors were recognized for achieving lifetime CSF membership through their dedication to academics, school involvement, and service to the community.

Congratulations to Annabelle Trefflich, Aaron Legaspi, Ashley Han, Cameron Maines, and Layla Rose on this outstanding accomplishment. Orcutt Academy was proud to be represented alongside several schools across the Santa Maria Valley.

In total, nine seniors will be receiving CSF cords at the end of the year, a testament to their sustained academic excellence and commitment over time.

Thank you to Mr. Murray for his leadership and continued support of our CSF students this year.

A Busy Month Ahead

The next few weeks will go quickly. Staying engaged, showing up each day, and keeping up with academic responsibilities will ensure that students can fully enjoy all that comes with the end of the school year.

As we’ve shared in the past, this time of year can bring distractions, making it even more important that students stay focused through the finish.

Enjoy Your Weekend, Spartans!

Sincerely,

Rhett Carter
