The enrollment lottery for 2026-2027 for Orcutt Academy High School and the Academy's K-8 campus in Los Alamos was held on February 4, 2026. A post-lottery drawing for all post-lottery enrollment applications received through May 5, 2026, will be held on May 6, 2026. The post-lottery drawing will fill any available seats and order grade-level wait lists beyond those established by the February 4 lottery. We invite interested families to submit post-lottery applications.

Short Term Independent Study

Independent Study/Pre Approved Absences should be requested prior to a planned absence period if your student will be gone between 2 and 14 school days. Independent Study/Pre Approved Absences are granted at the discretion of the Vice Principal for students with good citizenship and in good academic standing (above a 2.0 GPA with no “F”s).

Parents/guardians must request Independent Study/Pre Approved Absences no less than five school days in advance of a planned absence period. Students returning from Independent Study/Pre Approved Absences must report to the attendance office upon return, and all work must be completed and turned at that time.
