Spartatroniks Head to Central Valley

Best of luck to our team, FIRST 3512 Spartatroniks, as they compete this weekend at the FIRST Robotics Central Valley Regional! After a standout performance in Ventura, they’re hoping to build on that momentum for a shot at qualifying for the World Championships. We’re proud of their innovation, teamwork, and the way they represent OA on and off the field!

WATCH LIVE-STREAM: APR 5-6

We’re heading into the final stretch of Progress Period 5, and this is a key academic checkpoint for all students. Make sure you’re student is checking Aeries, turning in missing assignments, and asking for help if they need it. This progress grade plays an important role in athletic and extracurricular eligibility, so don’t wait until the last minute—finish strong!

CAASPP Testing April 14–17: Time to Show What Spartans Can Do

Starting April 14th, our juniors and seniors will participate in CAASPP testing, an important part of California’s assessment system. These tests measure readiness for college-level work and give us valuable insight into how our students are doing compared to others across the state.

OAHS has built a strong academic reputation—and this is one more opportunity to showcase the excellence, effort, and pride that defines our school. Spartans, give it your best—you’ve got this! A copy of the testing schedule is attached below so students and families can plan ahead.

Our annual Spartan Showcase is coming up on Wednesday, May 7 at 5:00 PM, and we’re excited to open our campus to families for an evening celebrating student learning and creativity. From classroom projects to performances, you’ll get a firsthand look at all the amazing things happening at OA. More details coming soon!

ASB SPOTLIGHTS

This week’s senior spotlight is Emma Baker. She has been on the varsity dance team for 3

years, she has been the dance team co-captain, and she is president and founder of The

Creative Writing Club. She is also a scholar athlete, has received the U.S History Spartan

Achievement award, has 300 community service hours, and a 4.0 GPA.

Congratulations, Emma!

UPCOMING EVENTS

A poster announcing a prom event called 'Sogno Dell'estate' on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025. Tickets are $150 or $125 for the first 25 buyers and are available in the Business Office until Friday, April 11th.
